BEACON, N.Y. -- Virginia Letterio, of Beacon, died Tuesday, Nov. 15. She was 89.
She was born March 28, 1927, in Glasco, N.Y., the daughter of the late Salvatore and Lillian Mickle Brocco. She was married to Albert Letterio, who predeceased her, 2001. She worked as a secretary for Dr. Charles Wolfe in Beacon. She was a parishioner of St. Joachim – St. John the Evangelist Church in Beacon and a member of the St. John’s Women’s Club.
She is survived by her sons, Albert J. Letterio and his wife Ann and Wayne Letterio; grandchildren, Tony Letterio, Gina Letterio and Laura Papol; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her sister, Sophia Brocco.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at St. John the Evangelist Church, 31 Willow St., Beacon. Burial will follow at St. Joachim Cemetery in Beacon.
